    Notes:

    Excerpt from "The Story of The Gilmans and a Gilman Genealogy....": He bought the Proprietor's grist mill in 1770 and built a saw mill which he operated for many years until he became blind, when he went to live with his children in Walden. VT. The mill was later known as Gutterson's mill.
