    Edward Hess Johnson, 29 years old, died in a hospital here early this morning as a result of injuries suffered when he fell from the roof of a house he was repairing Monday afternoon.

    Funeral services have been tentatively set for Thursday afternoon in the Methodist Church here. Rev. Darris Egger, pastor, will officiate, assisted by Rev. Ernest Girizzard, pastor of the Church of Christ.

    Burial will be in the Wheeler Cecmetery, with military rites under the direction of the Passon-Post unit of the American Legion here and the Red-Worthington Post of Mobeetie.

    Mr. Johnson was a native of Mobeetie and was educated in Mobeetie schools, graduating from high school in 1940. He joined the Army Air Corps in 1941 and served in Europe throughout World War II, entering Germany with the late General Patton's army.

    In June, 1946, he married the former Janell Crowder of Wheeler.

    Mr. Johnson was in the construction business here. The fatal accident occurred as he was working on the roof of a house about five miles east of Wheeler.

    Besides the wife and a 3 month-old son, Wesley Bryan, survivors include Mr. Johnson parents, George Wesley and Merra Leon Johnson of Mobeetie; five brothers, Joseph Lenard and Johhny (W.C.) both of Amarillo, Raymond of Alanreed, Doyle of Mobeetie and Leroy Johnson of Pampa, and a sister Pauline Virginia Hooker of Mobeetie
