  	Marshall J. Slauson, 91, Roxbury, passed away May 29, 2004, at the Mountainside Residential Care Center in Margaretville. Marshall was born March 14, 1913, Roxbury, the son of Orley Slauson and Effie Morse. He married Inez Ballard on Oct. 4, 1934, Roxbury. She died Jan. 8, 1998. Marshall graduated from Roxbury Central School. He was head custodian at Roxbury Central School, retiring in 1972, after 40 years of service. Marshall was also Roxbury town clerk for 28 years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Roxbury. He was a former member of the Roxbury Rotary Club, the Roxbury Masonic Lodge and the Roxbury Fire Department. Marshall and his wife always enjoyed camping. He is survived by one son, Gary Slauson; four brothers, Grant, Marion, Milton and Virgil Slauson; two sisters, Bertha Cammer and Elsie Furman; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Floyd Slauson; and one sister, Hulda Morse. Funeral service will be held June 3, 2004, at the United Methodist Church, Roxbury, with the Rev. Richard Dykstra officiating. Burial will be in Roxbury Cemetery, Roxbury. Funeral arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury. [1]
