    • Maureen Rozacky, 87, of Taylor, died Tuesday, November 20, 2001, at her residence.

      Celebration of Life services will be 2:00 PM Friday, November 23rd at Hwy. 95 Church of Christ with Tim Ayers and James Ray Haney officiating. Burial will follow at Machu Cemetery in Granger. Arrangements have been entrusted to Providence Funeral Home.

      Gladys Maureen Rozacky was born July 30, 1914 to Don T. and Mary (Slawson) Ray in Florence, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of the area. Maureen graduated from Southwest Texas University with a degree in teaching. She taught for 40 years in the area including lduma, Friendship, Salado, Granger and Thrall. Maureen retired in 1975 from teaching. She and her husband were avid hunters and fishermen. Maureen was a landscape and still life painter, bird watcher and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Hwy. 95 Church of Christ and attended many Lions Club meetings with her husband.

      Survivors include her husband, John E. Rozacky of Taylor; a sister, Alene Haney of Moody, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

      Memorials may be made to Hwy. 95 Church of Christ, P.0. Box 155, Taylor, Texas 76574 or The Taylor Lions Club or a charity of one's choice.
