  	married Edna Helen Slone 29 Nov 1946 Daily Capital News, Wednesday, December 28, 1977, Jefferson City, Missouri Farris Jones, 56, of Kansas City, died Sunday at the Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine where he had been a patient for 19 days. He was a former resident of the Iberia and Dixon communities. Mr. Jones was born Aug. 17, 1921, at Iberia, a son of Ottie M. and Martha J. Slone Jones. On Nov. 29, 1946, he married Helen Slone, who survives at the home. He was employed by Armco Steel Co. in Kansas City for over 27 years. Mr. Jones was a member of the Nazarene Church and the Steelworkers Union and was an army veteran of World War II. Other survivors include: one son, David G. Jones, Altus Air Force Base, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. Eunice Neeley, Iberia; and two grandsons. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Stevinson Chapel, Iberia, with the Brother Farris Wall officiating.
