  Notes	Information from Mariana L Zuelsdorf: Mrs. Esther B. Carpenter, 82, of Powhatan Point, Rout 1, died early Friday morning, November 23, 1971 at her home. She was born in York Township, Belmont County, November 8, 1891; a daughter of Theodore and Amelia Schnegg Steiner. Mrs. Carpenter was a member of the Grandview Church of Christ. Surviving are her husband, Ross Carpenter, two daughters, Miss Ruth Carpenter of Powhatan, and Miss Frances Carpenter, Thomas of Marietta; one son, Russell Carpenter, of Powhatan; two brothers, George Steiner and Amos Steiner of Powhatan; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Walter, of Powhatan; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services were held Monday afternoon at one o'clock in the Gibson-Bauknecht Funeral Home at Powhatan. Interment was in Powhatan Cemetery.
