- Excerpt from "Royalty for Commoners": King of Judah 843-842 md. Zibiah, of Beersheba
1 Chronicles 3:10-14
These are the descendants of King Solomon:
Rehoboam, Abijah, As,
Jehoshaphat, Joram, Ahaziah,
Joash, Amaziah, Azariah,
Jotham, Ahaz, Hezekiah,
Manasseh, Amon, Josiah.
2 Kings 8:25-27
Then his son Ahaziah became the new king during the twelfth year of the reign of King Joram of Israel, the son of Ahab.
Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he began to reign but he resigned only one year, in Jerusalm. His mother was Athaliah, the granddaughter of King Omri of Israel. He was an evil king, just as all of King Ahab's descendants were for he was related to Ahab by marriage.
