• Name	David WATERBURY  [1]
  	Anna was named in David's will of 6 Dec 1888, proved 24 March 1890. He served as administrator for the estate of his uncle Peter Waterbury in 1850. The will of Mary Waterbury of Darien, dated 7 April 1854, proved 5 Jan. 1876, named her nephew David Waterbury, son of Henry Waterbury as executor and he inherited the Lt. John Waterbury homestead from her. that homestead was part of the 25 acres more or less with buildings that David sold to William Campbell for $1,750 on 5 June 1880, about six weeks before his first wife's death. David remained in Darien when his parents moved westward. he was sometimes but inconsistently known as David Waterbury Jr. in Darien records until 1872 and then just David Waterbury afterward. One source based on information from residents of his neighborhood reports that his neighbors knew him as "Ducky Dave" Waterbury. he left no children, so his estate was distributed to his siblings, resulting in the 1890 probate documents that have been so useful in identifying this family.
