    • Dundee: Jacqueline B. Gummerson, age 78, of Dundee, NY died Wednesday August 9, 2017 in the comfort of her daughter Tina's home in Dundee, NY.

      There are no prior calling hours. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 7:00 pm Monday (Aug 14) at Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee with Rev. Max Bishop officiating.

      In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ontario-Yates County Hospice Assoc., 756 Pre-Emption Rd., Geneva, NY 14456.

      Jacqueline was born June 19, 1939 in Sussex, NJ, the daughter of the late Francis and Frieda Willis. On May 26, 1962 in New Orleans, Louisiana she married the late James F. Gummerson Sr., who passed away on January 24, 2001. She has lived locally for 10 years, previously of Dunnellon, FL. Jacqueline was a saleswoman in department stores for many years, having worked for Woolworths, Ames, and most recently Jamesway in Sussex, NJ. In her spare time she enjoyed crafts, collecting coins and Indian artifacts but enjoyed time spent with grandchildren and great grand children the most.

      She is loved and will be dearly missed by her daughter Tina M. (John) Medvitz with whom she made her home; a son James F. (Maryrose) Gummerson, Jr. of Mohegan Lake, NY; 8 grandchildren, Kaitlynn (Bruce) Dillon, Adam Medvitz, Brittany Medvitz, Cheyenne Mascaro, James Daniel, Lily, Christian, and Joseph Gummerson; 3 great grand children, Ian & Ayla Dillon, and Penelope Bailey; a sister Carolee Hopkins of Stark, NH; several nieces and nephews.

      Besides her parents, and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter Valencia D. Mascaro on Sept. 29, 2015.
