  	Betty J. Long, age 89, of Oswego, IL died Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born December 26, 1925 in Oswego, IL, the daughter of the late Oscar and Angie nee Varner Weiss. Betty spent all but 2 years of her life in Oswego, the last 63 in the same house. She married Robert "Bob" Long on August 21, 1946. They spent the next 59 years together, until his death in 2005. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Oswego, IL. Prior to her retirement in 1995, she worked as a secretary for Oswego School District 308. She enjoyed reading, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Susan Burnette of Oswego, IL, granddaughter Angela (Maria Cortesi) Larson of Montgomery, IL, two great grandchildren Brooke and Ben Larson of Montgomery, son-in-law Jim Burnette of Rayville, LA, several nieces and nephews, and two life-long friends Bette Wright of Joliet, IL and Norma Stover of Montgomery, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, two brothers Chuck Weiss and Les Weiss, and three sisters, Florence Ode, Virginia Roth and Doris Jones. Visitation will take place on Monday, February 9, 2015 from 10:00 AM to Noon at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543. Graveside service will be held on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Aurora, IL. Memorials may be made to donor's choice.
