    • He was committed to the tower on 11 July 1403. the right to bear the undifferenced Arms of Hastings was decided against him in the Court of Chivalry on 9 May 1410, and in favour of his opponent Reynold, Lord Grey of Ruthin, heir to the sister of the whole blood, in preference to his own claim as heir to the brother of the half-blood, of John, Lord Hastinges, ancestor of the Earls of Pembroke. On refusing to pay the costs of his suit of appeal (lest he should thereby acknowledge its Justice), he was imprisoned (about 1417) in the Marshalsea apparently till his death. [1]
