- Thomas Browne Knt., of Betchworth Castle, Surrey 'jure uxoris', son of Richard Browne, Knt. He was Treasurer of the Household to King Henry VI, and Sheriff of Kent 1440 and 1460. They had seven sons and two daughters.
Sir Thomas Browne was convicted of high treason: on 20 July 1460 and immediately beheaded. [1]
