• Name	Valentine PRENTICE  [1]
  	On the records of the First Church in Roxbury, Mass., appears the following: 'Valentine Prentise came to this land, with his wife Alice, in the year 1631, and joined this church in the year 1632. He brought but one child to this land, his son John and buried another at see. he lived a godly life, and went through much affliction by bodily infirmity, and died leaving a good savor of godlyness behind him. Allice, the wife of Valentine Prentise, after her husband's death, was married to John Watson, of this church.' He was made freeman (per Massachusetts General Court records), Aug. 7, 1632, and d. about 1633. [1]
