Stephen SEARS [1] |
- Capt. Stephen Sears removed with his parents to South East, Putnam co., (then Dutchess co.,) N.Y., and about 1760, to Sharon, Ct., where at a later date, he purchased the Dea. Hunter (his wife's father's) place, of 150 acres.
He was a carpenter by trade, and in that capacity superintended the erection of the meeting-house built in 1768, which was taken down when the brick church was built.
