  	Vester L. Slawson Funeral services for Vester L. Slawson 211 S. Halvey Street, Greenville, carpenter, will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday at the chapel of National Funeral Home by the Rev. Forest Wolf of Northside Baptist Church. Mr. Slawson died in King's Daughter's Hospital Saturday at 8 am. after being taken ill at his home Friday night. He was 46. He was born at Noxapater and had lived in Greenville for 19 years. He was a veteran of World War II. He leaves three sons, Hilmon Slawson, Carlos Slawson and Larry Slawson, all of Greenville, a daughter, Miss Barbara Ann Slawson of Greenville; three sisters, Mrs. K. K. Hall and Mrs. Travis Kates, both of Jackson, and Mrs. C. J. HIcks of Okinawa; a half brother Jack Stokes of Moridian; three brothers, James A. Slawson and Earl Slawson, both of Jackson, and Moody Slawson of Kosciusko; and his parents Mr. and Mrs. G. L.Slawson of Jackson. The active pallbearers include Maynard Fleming, Howard Melton, Hugh Hall, Louis Gilbert, Clem Stovall, Julius Massenelli, Leo Sykes and Harold Aldridge.
