      William E. "Bud" Fancher, 74, St. Elizabeth, died Thursday at the Miller County Nursing Home, Tuscumbia. He was born July 4, 1920, in Pulaski County, a son of Malachi and Laura Belle Varner Fancher. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a former resident of Crocker.

      Survivors include: one son, Bill Fancher, Jefferson City; two daughters, Glenda Helton, Crocker, and Linda Knudson, Lebanon; one brother, Charles Fancher, state of Washington; three sisters, Dorothy Coleson and Lucy Sullivan, both of St. Elizabeth, and Lorene Flaugher, Eldon; and four grandchildren.

      Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. Brother Billy Claiborn will officiate. Burial with military rites will be in Bethany Cemetery near Crocker. [1]
