- John became a "Freeman" at Plymouth June 24, 1689, owned shares and was "a man of note entitled to be called Mister". He went fro Barnstable to Falmouth where he remained for a time occupying, defining and developing the lands previously acquired by his father from the Indians. About 1692 he returned to Barnstable, settled in the East Parish and died suddenly on July 8, 1736. His children were all born in Falmouth during his residence there. [1]
