    • Joshua Lee Grubaugh was born in 1854 to Jonathan Lee Grubaugh and Caroline Young. He was 3rd of 11 children born to this couple. Joshua spent his early years in Morrow County, OH and then moved west in the mid-1870s. He married Nora Mary Henry on 29 Nov 1877 in Cass County, MO. They had 12 children. The first child, Cora Dell Grubaugh, was born in Missouri and all of the others were born in Morris County, KS. The 10th and 12th children were both stillborn and Nora died one day after delivering the 12th child. Joshua was left with the ten remaining children. The family stayed together for awhile and then went their separate ways. In 1905, Joshua Lee is living in Wyandotte, KS and none of the children are with him. On 17 Jun 1907, Joshua Lee married Inez Paralee Jones Rice in Fulton County, AR. She was 20 years younger than him and the marriage lasted only a short time. In 1910, Inez is still in Fulton County, AR and she lists her status as "divorced". In 1910, Joshua is living with his son, Brice, and Brice's family in Osage, Camden, MO. Joshua lists his status as "widowed". Joshua died in 1911 in Montreal, Camden, MO and his body was sent to Kansas for interment.
