- Daniel was an Ensign and Captain of Conn. militia in the Revolutionary War under col. Samuel Whiting 1776 and turned out at the New Haven Alarm. At the age of 84, he was placed on the pension roll of Fairfield Co. 1831 for service as Ensign and Captain of Conn. Militia.
