  • Name Levi Jones FULLER  [1
    • Levi Jones Fuller was brought up by his uncle, Simeon Jones, a strong Old School Scotch Presbyterian, who made strenuous efforts to have his nephew prepare for the ministry of that denomination, offering to pay all his expenses. He went to Utica, NY where he worked at the jewelers' trade, devoting his spare time to study with a view to the ministry. His health breaking down he went to Troy, where he bound himself out to learn the masons' trade; afterwards moved to Tarrytown, where he became connected with the late George Law in building the Croton Aqueduct. He finally settled in New York City, following the mason and contracting business, in which he met with success in his early years. [1]
