Acton Betty Jean (Rossiter) Craig, 84, of Duggan Road, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at her home after a long illness. She was born in Syracuse, NY, daughter of the late Alvin and Marion (Slausen) Rossiter. She was the husband of C. Ernest Craig. A graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY; she was a dietician who worked as a food inspector for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts before retiring. She was an Acton resident since 1963 and was active with the Acton Community Supper program. She was a member of Grace Chapel in Lexington, MA. In addition to her husband, she leaves three sons: Robert C. Craig of Westford, David E. Craig of Casanovia, NY, and Daniel E. Craig of Merrimack, NY; three daughters: Carolyn Hitterman of Casa Grande, AZ; Suzanne Abatsis of Stow and Sharon J. Craig of Acton; a sister Dorothy Hanna of Syracuse, NY; fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister Lucille Countryman of Whitesboro, NY. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 20 at 10:00 AM in Grace Chapel, 53 Worthen Road, Lexington.
