      Survived by his wife, Georgia (Conroy) Scheidt; children, Patricia Ann Scheidt, Richard J. (Kathy) Scheidt and Barbara Jean Fender; grandsons, Andrew M. and Adam J. Scheidt and Joseph R. Fender. Two brothers, Charles (Rose) Scheidt and Donald (Marie) Scheidt; a sister, Norma Gray. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
      Preceded in death by parents, Charles and Helen (Kuban) Scheidt; and a brother, William Scheidt.
      Born in Joliet, a lifelong resident. Retired in 1991 from the City of Joliet after 20 years as a Utility Serviceman. An Army veteran. Member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and a life member of V.F.W. Post 2199 Stone City.
      Funeral from the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home Wednesday, December 5, 2001 at 9:30 AM to St. Bernard's Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
