- David Chaffee was baptized in the West Woodstock Congregational Church, February 24, 1771. He had a light complexion, blue eyes, and was six feet in height.
He was a Private in the Revolution, serving in the warfare on Canadian Border. He owned land in Athens, Vt., in 1802, and moved from Belvidere to Boston between 1816 and 1820. He was a farmer and a member of the Presbyterian church. [1]
