- He was a deacon in the church at Marlborough, New Hampshire. He received from his father the homestead, "Bridgefield," and his interest in "Bating Brook Meadow," and purchased land and buildings in Oxford, now Auburn, November 25, 1761, where he moved and lived until his death. He was selectman in Oxford in 1764-66-69-70, and was a captain in the revolution. [1]
