- Samuel upon the death of his father, received as part of his share of the estate, the northern half of Mason Island, located at the mouth of Mystic River, Conn. (the lower half of the island was owned by Thomas N. Niles) Upon Samuel's death, the ownership of the northern half of Mason Island went to his wife and children.
Samuel died at the age of 48, and Hannah married again on Mar. 16, 1775, William Avery, Esq., by whom she had one daughter, Sarah. Following William's death, she became the wife of Deacon Peter Avery, Aug. 28, 1800. [1]
