Some list her father as James Barber who immigrated to RI from England which is the likely birthplace for both father and daughter.
      Sources list Moses Barber (1652 Kingstown, RI - 1733 South Kingstown, RI) who married Susannah West and raised 12 children at Kingstown, RI as a son of an English immigrant James Barber. Perhaps they are related. There is a James Barber from England that landed at Boston in 1633 and went on to Dorchester, MA. There is a James Barber from England who was at RI in 1635 and received a half share in distribution at Misquamscuck (present-day Westerly) on 09 Sep 1661. There is a James Barber from England that is of Newport; RI.
