    • Donald Kimmel Bower, 89, Wichita, will be held at 11 a.m. today at First Church of the Brethren in Wichita. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. today at McLouth City Cemetery, McLouth.

      Mr. Bower died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998.

      He was born April 13, 1909, in McLouth, the son of David Earl Bower and Mabel Kimmel Bower. He graduated from high school at McLouth.

      He worked as a tool designer at Beech Aircraft Company and had served several terms as president of his local chapter of the International Association of Machinists.

      He was a member of First Church of the Brethren, Wichita Gem and Mineral Society and the Good Sam Club. He was also the president of the Eureka school board.

      He married Margaret Evelyn Champion on Nov. 26, 1931. She died on Dec. 20, 1993.

      Survivors include two sons, Robert Glen, Benson, Ariz., and Frederick Earl, Wichita; two daughters, Janice Bower Tompkins, Columbia, Mo., and Virginia Bower Mason, Stone Mountain, Ga.; two brothers, John Bower, McLouth, and Gordon Bower, Lawrence; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
