  	Obituary of Louisa Richie/Richey (Turner) Jordan-Richards Posted by Catie and Will, Memorial Contributor Mrs. J. N. Richards died last night at 9:30 at her home on Oak street. The deceased is one of the pioneer residents of the county, having come to Tipton county when a young girl. She was in her 85th year. She had been ill for many months and a year ago her death was expected at any time, but she rallied her fast waning strength. Her husband died last spring. Death was due to complications of old age. Surviving are John C. Jordan, formerly of near Hobbs, but now living in Wisconsin, he being a son by a former marriage [s/o Milligan Jordan, who died young], and three children by the marriage to the late Mr. Richards, they being Walter Richards, of Kokomo, Marble Richards, of Sharpsville, and Mrs. Tom Davis, of near Atlanta. Mrs. Richards was born in Johnson county, [Indiana] December 2, 1836, she being a daughter of Mescah [sic-Meshack] Turner. She was fourteen years of age when she came to Tipton county with her parents, they settling in Liberty township. On November 17, 1856, when she was about 20 years of age, she was united in marriage to Milligan Jordan, by whom she became the mother of one son, John Jordan [John Charles Jordan]. Her husband died September 1, 1858, and on August 10, 1865, she was united in marriage to James N. Richards, deceased. She was the last survivor of a family of eight children.
