Name |
Joseph SLAWSON [1, 2, 3] |
- The Slason Genealogy (note 1), 16-7 calls him a 2nd cousin, son of one Josiah Slason who was in turn called son of George's presumed brother Thomas. However since this proposal requires several moves back and forth between Cape Cod and the southwestern Conn. area without any proof at all, this relationship, although often repeated in print and on the Internet, is probably a complete fabrication. It is much ore likely tat Joseph was a 1st cousin, probably a previously unnoticed son of Eleazer Slason of Stamford and Bedford, a relationship still remaining to be proved. [1]
