- Thomas Yale, first of Wallingford, married Mary Benham, daughter of Joseph Benham, of the same town, May 16, 1705, and settled in what is now Meriden, Conn. He was one of fifty-one other persons who on the 22nd day of October, 1729, constituted the first Congregational Church at Meriden, Rev. Theophilus Hall being their pastor. He was a farmer. [1]
