      OBITUARY:
      Marshallville---11-4-1982--Bertha L. Carpenter, 97, of Euclid Street Extension, died early this morning (Thursday) at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital following a three-year illness.

      Services will be held Saturday, 11 am at Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman with George Lemasters and Bill Feist officiating. Burial will be at Rittman Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday.

      She was born in 1885 in Bellsville to William and Lotta Dawson Oneacre and had lived in Rittman until moving to Marshallville 50 years ago. She was a member of the Barberton Church of Christ.

      Surviving are a son, Robert (Curly) Carpenter of Marshallville; two daughters, Mrs. John (Hazel) Kick of Rittman and Mrs. Keith (Eva) Maurer of Edinburg, Texas; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grand-children. Her husband, Amos L, died in 1967. Two sons, Paul and Harold, also died previously.
