    • Joseph Macomber served in the French and Indian Wars, with the rank of lieutenant and first lieutenant from March to November 1758 and from March 1759 to November 1760 during the Canadian campaign with service at Fort Cumberland (also known as Fort Beausejour) in New Brunswick.

      During the American Revolution Joseph Macomber served as a lieutenant in Captain Abiel Pierce's Company of Minute Men in April 1775, as a sergeant in Captain Levi Rouseville's Company from May through July 1775, as a lieutenant in Captain Edward Seagrovy's Company in 1776. [1]
