- From NEHG Register: Samuel Hinckley lived at West Barnstable, on land known as the "Timber Lands," that his father gave him. Samuel's will, dated 12 March 1696/7, proved 13 April 1697, left one half of the goods and land to his widow, and one half to eldest son Thomas (then only 16 years old). he also mentioned "all my children," although naming only the eldest son.
