Julius, when he was learning to walk, pulled himself to his feet by holding on to a wash boiler of hot water and was scalded and died. Grandma (Mary Harman) had to go upstairs for something and had left Dad (Joseph William Harman) and Uncle Ross (Ross Harman) to mind the baby for just a minute. Dad said he turned his back for just a second--he never got over it.
