    • From: "The History of the Descendants of John Dwight of Dedham, Mass.": He was a grad. in his medical studies at the Medical Department of Michigan University (at Ann Arbor, Mich.), in April 1869, and was resident physician and surgeon for one year in the Brooklyn City Hospital, N.Y. he entered the Prussian service as a surgeon in the late war with France, and had charge of a military hospital at Hesse Cassel (1870-1). He has been since 1872 Assistant Superintendent of the Illinois State Insane Hospital, at Elgin, Illinois.
