A G Bridgeman was born Jan. 13, 1834, died Jan. 18, 1914, ages 80 years 5 days. When a young man he went to Duffy, Ohio, bought a farm and in 1871 married Melvina Harman of the same place. In 1907, he moved his family to Sardis, Ohio where he resided until the time of his death. To this union four children were born, of which two survive, namely Mrs. James Rush, and Mrs. John Burkee, who reside at Sardis, Ohio, also six grandchildren remain, with a host of friends and relatives who mourn their loss.
Mr. Bridgeman was well liked by every one as the large number of citizens and neighbors who attended his funeral. In 1897, at Hannibal, he united with the Methodist church, after moving to Sardis he united with the Church of Christ, and remained a constant member until the time of his death.
Rev. W B Thompkins and D W Harkins conducted the funeral. The remains were interred in the Sardis Cemetery.
