- John Bourchier, 2nd Lord Berners, son and heir, born about 1467 (aged seven at his grandfather's death). He was K.B. on 17 Jan 1477/8, and was summoned to Parliament from 14 Oct 1495. He was married to Katherine Howard, daughter of John Howard, K.G., Duke of Norfolk by his second wife Margaret (Chedworth) Wyfold, daughter of John Chedworth, Knt. They had three daughters. Sir John Bourchier died testate aged sixty-seven at Calais about 19 Mar 1532/3 s.p.m. legit, and was buried in the parish church there. His widow died on 12 Mar 1535-6. By a concubine, Elizabeth Bacon, he had children born in his wife's lifetime: James, Humphrey, George, and Ursula. [1]
