David W. Boston of 2317 First Street, Moundsville, died Saturday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock in the Glen Dale Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Belmont county, Ohio, March 6, 1871, a son of the late Israel and Barbara Brown Boston, and moved to Wet Virginia as a young boy. He lived most of his life at Woodlands, where he was an employee of the B & O Railroad for 50 years, retiring in 1941. He was section foreman.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Adaline Dennis Boston, three sons, Sherley A. Boston and Raymond O. Boston of Pittsburgh and Clyde W. Boston of Moundsville; three daughters, Mrs. W.C. Brazell of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Alberta Cochran of Moundsville and Miss Irene Boston at home; one brother, Amos Boston of Hannibal, Ohio, and seven grandchildren.
He was a member of the First Christian Church. The body was removed to the Grisell funeral home pending arrangements.
The body will be returned to the late home today, where services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev I. Clifford Bucy, pastor of the Moundsville Christian church will officiate and interment will be in Northview cemetery, New Martinsville.
