  	Mildred Slawson was born Alphredra Mildred Adams. Her father was Charles Christopher Adams and her mother was Agnes Jane Heaverlo. Charles Christopher was a school teacher and Mildred began teaching at the age of 16. She taught all grades in a one room school. Later, she became a telephone operator in Santa Ana, Calif. She lived on Roe Drive, the same street as the Webber's Bakery. I will always associate trips to her little house with the smell of baking bread. Mildred had five children, Kitty Jane, Victor, Charles (Chick), Robert Thomas, and Peggy. Robert is my father. She lived to the ripe old age of 95. Bio by: kslawson/osborne [1]
